1. Express Entry System (Federal Skilled Worker Program)

The Express Entry was introduced on January, 2015 by IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) to make the process fast. It is a point based system known as Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) in which the candidates are ranked according to their profile score. The profile score is based on your education qualification, work experience, language skills etc.

How to apply?

  • First step is to create a profile on the federal express entry system and score minimum 67 points to qualify as applicant. You can refer to Canadian Ranking System tool  to calculate your CRS score.
  • IRCC will launch a periodic draw and announce the cut off marks. You will be eligible to receive Canada PR Visa, if you are selected in the draw.
  • Within 6 months of the draw, your application will be processed.

2. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)

  • Every province in Canada has its own requirements which allow immigrants to live and work in that province. PNP offers customized immigration programs for skilled worker and international graduates with different categories.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must have work experience in area of your profession
  • Occupation must be from National Occupational Classification (NOC)
  • Must obtain minimum score in point assignment grid on PNP
  • Must have sufficient score in language requirement as per CLB

How to apply?

  • Applications can either be paper based or online.

    Steps for Paper-Based process:

    • Applying to the province under non-Express entry system
    • Meet the eligibility requirements of the province
    • Once selected, submit your application to IRCC
    • Medical and Police clearance

Steps for Express Entry process:

  • Options 1:

    • Contact the province and apply under an Express Entry System.
    • If the province agrees to nominate you, create a profile as Express Entry.

    Option 2:

    • Create an Express Entry profile and show the province that you are interested.
    • If province sends a ‘Notification of interest’ to your account, you are eligible to apply.

    All provinces in Canada have different requirements and process to follow for all potential candidates.

3. Quebec Selected Skilled Worker Program

  • Quebec has collaborated with CIC to nominate candidates via Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). The program is based on nominating candidates as per province’s skill requirement for its labour market and economy who can contribute in the Quebec community.

    How to apply? 

    • Submit application to Quebec government for certificate of selection (CSQ)
    • After receiving CSQ, please visit our office for the further procedure.
